Why Choose Camau Bach?

1. Why Camau Bach?

We're the only day nursery in Aberystwyth offering Welsh-medium childcare and education. We provide quality care and education in a convenient location on Boulevard de Saint Brieuc, between the Police Station and the Government Offices. We also provide healthy hot lunch and snacks for the children as part of the service.

2. But we don’t speak Welsh at home. Does that mean that my child can’t attend Camau Bach?

No problem! Camau Bach welcomes every child whatever his/her language, colour, race or educational needs. Learning two languages is easier when children are young. Very soon your child will have learnt Welsh naturally through playing with his/her new little friends.

3. Sensory Room

Children attending Camau Bach love visiting this room and exploring with the special resources that promote sensory development.

4. Sensory Garden

Children love participating in gardening activities and growing flowers and vegetables at Camau Bach’s Sensory Garden as it develops the children’s curiosity and appreciation of the natural world.

5. Modern facilities and various activities

Every child has the opportunity to take part in various activities that promote all aspects of his/her development. The nursery is well equipped with toys, books, art and craft materials, facilities for water and sand play and other equipment to encourage imaginative play.

6. Camau Bach is the only day nursery in Aberystwyth offering wrap- around care and transport for children from neighbouring schools.

Camau Bach offers high quality wrap-around care for children who attend  schools on a part-time basis e.e. if your child attends school in the mornings  then Camau Bach can collect your child from school to Camau Bach for an afternoon session at the nursery, or if you child attends school for just the afternoons, then he/she can attend Camau Bach in the mornings and the nursery can transport your child to school for the afternoon sessions, and collect your child again at then end of the school day if your child wishes to attend the After School Club at Camau Bach.

7. From which schools does Camau Bach offer transport to the nursery for wrap-around care services and After School Club?

Camau Bach can organise transport to or from the following local schools in Aberystwyth;

  • Ysgol Gymraeg Aberystwyth
  • Plas Crug Primary School.

8. Camau Bach fees are more competitive than any other nursery in the area, as Camau Bach offers:
  1. Different rates for children under or over 2 years old.
  2. Cheaper rates if your child finishes at 4.00 or 5.00pm
  3. Full day sessions, or morning or afternoon sessions.
  4. Discounted rates if your child attends Camau Bach on a full-time basis.
9. Positive comments by parents:

“ I think the nursery is the best place for my children whilst I’m at work.  The staff and facilities are amazing. It is very reassuring to know that they are being loved and cared for as they would be at home.”

“As I live in Aberystwyth but work twenty miles away, the After School Club is brilliant! I take my child to the school in the morning, and pick him up at Camau Bach at the end of the day. It would be very difficult for my child to attend a school in Aberystwyth if this service was not available”
