Pedoli, Pedoli, Pe-dinc
Enyd Roberts visited Cylch Meithrin Y Garnedd recently to sing a nursery rhyme "Pedoli, Pedoli, Pe-dinc".
Pedoli, Pedoli, Pe-dinc is a song about a blacksmith making horse shoes. The 'Pedinc, pedinc, pedinc' imitates the sound of the hammer as he shapes the horse shoe. At the cylch meithrin Enyd Roberts used a horse shoe and a hammer to make the 'pedinc' sound in the chorus.
In the video clip Enyd introduces herself and says she was born in Bangor in 1949. Her father was a butcher and her mother gave piano lessons. She has one younger sister. She remembers that it was her father that used to sing the nursery rhymes with her while she sat on his lap, she has sung to her children and now enjoys singing to her grandchild.
