It is the management committee's responsibility to ensure that the Cylch Meithrin:
*is committed to increasing awareness of staff and parents/carers/guardians about the importance of developing safe practices in the use of digital technologies.
*expects staff to model good practice in the use of digital technologies and mobile devices.
*ensures that a password is needed to access digital equipment that stores sensitive information, and ensure that only staff and managers of the setting have passwords.
*ensures that all staff are aware of their responsibility to supervise children while they are using digital technology.
*ensures the E-safety Policy is introduced as part of an induction programme for new staff. The policy is available on the intranet.
*ensures the maintenance of secure digital environment for the children, e.g. by ensuring that parental controls are installed on equipment such as computers and iPads.
*expects staff to check beforehand the suitability of any websites, games or apps they intend to use with the children.
